I love that road, not been on it for years,I'm really out of touch with which lanes are still open, been 11 years since I had sj had defender and freelander since but never really used them for pleasure, needed them to work for work, jimny us just for me for fun. I'm def up for a snow day play ?

Cheers for the warm welcome.

Here are a couple of pics:

I've taken the interior out for a clean, the carpets and seats. It started with a quick general clean, ended up with the seats being taken apart and the covers getting washed! At least doesn't smell of wet dogs now Cool , oh the fishing box was put in there as a temporary seat to move the car in the driveway Laughing

No mods planned at the moment, just need to the the free wheeling hubs sorted and a service this weekend (filters, oil, brakes, plugs) and get a couple of new AT tyres I've got fitted.

May need to get an immobiliser fitted for insurance too Shocked

Thanks Rich for the info on the immobiliser, that's really helpful.

WeldingScotty I've got not plans to do any serious offroading in it yet.

It's the first proper 4x4 I've bought; note the 'proper', the black Mazda CX7 4x4 in the back of one of the pictures is my regular driver, but is absolutely useless (scary) in slippy conditions. Got stuck in snow and ice where front wheel drive cars were managing to run. So really bought the Vitara as a serious winter car to get me about when the weather gets bad.

Might end up modding the car though, with all the mods I keep seeing online Rolling Eyes .
