PostSubject: HI ALL NEWBIE    Mon Aug 05, 2013 4:00 am

Hi All Smile

Nice to meet you all, new to this and joined on the advice of the wife Wink

I recently purchased a 1994 1.6 EFI Fatboy (which has been slammed on its arse for some reason scratch

So I have a 3" suspension lift kit and front diff on order so hopefully wont be long until the mini monster truck from my boyhood dreams will start to grow Wink

I will try get some pic's up tomorrow. Any knowledge, advice or ideas would be much appreciated cheers.

Any how nice to meet you all

Richard

I just don't get slamin 4x4 's but each to their own I suppose.

Glad to hear you're lifting it though. And as the sticker on my sons Trooper says

"Lift it, fat girls can't jump" Laughing

Lift it, fat girls cant jump! ha ha ha like it. I know it looks bloody stupid and going over a join in a bridge on the motorway was like driving off a kerb!!!! had to brace for it ha ha

Cheers guys nice to find like minded folks and know the help is there got a feeling I'm going to need it.
I had a 410 about 10 years ago only cost £100 didn't mod it but did replace the engine, starter a few other bits and mot'd it. So I'm hoping ill be ok with it lol.

So the wife has given in after some more digging and told me that she has ordered my lift kit from somebody off here? Vit-Mods? hence her knowing about the site ( I did find that a bit weird lol ) either way I'm a lucky boy if the Wife is surprising me Very Happy  well trying to ha

No worries mate, there is me and another lad (scotty) on here that sell the vitara bits so any bits you need just let me know.

How have you broken your diff, what's broken on it? If its just the front case you could still buy the diff off Rich and change the case.

Check the drive shafts, stick it in 4wd but leave the front wheels unlocked and get underneath it and by hand turn the front prop shaft that comes out of the transfer box and see if it still makes the knocking and where its coming from as it could just be a broken drive shaft.

Check the shafts, does it make the same noise when you lock the front wheels and when they are unlocked?

Do you mean 2wd an 4wd or hubs? Not checked hubs cos got the big daft fatboy wheels on at min an they have the centre cone on them. need to get it on ramp me thinks an have a good look cos its a mare with the vit sat on its arse with the lowering springs. 2wd is fine just a bit of slip just as foot off the clutch an on gas. and no it isnt my driving ha ha. its like you can feel its just on the front left as it does it so with that an th knocking presumed it was diff :-/ grrr what do they say about asumption again. oh well its all fun an experiance :-)
