PostSubject: FNG signing in!   Fri Aug 09, 2013 12:37 am

Hi folks, just doing the new guy thing and signing in Very Happy

I've had a couple of Vits in the past and I've got a Jimny that I've had for a few years, although it's lightly modded it's still quite shiney and just gets used as a runaround Embarassed

I love my laning, the Dales and the NY Moors are my usual territories, but I like a bit of Lakes action when I can get it Cool  For a very, very long time my laning truck has been my trusty 3.1 Monterey, but I feel things in the laning scene have been getting a bit stale of late and I've been losing interest.  Anyway, in an attempt to get back into it and put some fun back into the hobby I've sold the Monty (to a mate of mine and a member on here) and am in the process of buying a sorted Jimny Cool

I should be collecting the new zook on Monday all being well, then I've got an epic 270m drive to get it back home to Otley way, so I hope it works ffs Laughing

I haven't had a run out for a while so I'll be having a trundle up-Dale to give the Jimny a run out sometime very soon.

Looking forward to meeting some of you on a run out in the near future Cool

Mick

Welcome mate and glad you've decided to go for a Suzuki and not be tempted by the dark side - Land rover, although I had a go in a v8 special edition one the other day and very nice it was!

You should come along to the Frickley weekend, it will be a good place to get to know what your new motor will do

Thanks for the welcomes, won't be able to make Frickley I'm afraid Rolling Eyes   Done plenty of laning but never really been into pay n play stuff.  I'd be up for giving it a go again in the jimbo though bounce

Will get some pics sorted when I've got it back to Yorkshire sunny It's at Hailsham at the moment near the south coast affraid affraid

Cheers Craven, I've always been drawn to the Jap side Wink  Have had a bit of a yearning for another Jimny for a few years and have always put it off until now.  You need a bit of zook in your life sunny

Hello Mick,

Why two different usernames/login's, the other one has been active for nearly 2 years and gets used regularly, yesterday even, guess there's a good reason, maybe I'm just a sceptic, nope no maybe about it, I'm very sceptical, life makes you like that Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Hi Wilky

Most of the forums I am on I'm mtc500.  I do have different user names in some clubs and forums - as you have on different forums. I joined up as zookburger as you say a few years ago when I got the blue jimny but only looked for info and didn't contribute Embarassed   The Monterey was my main vehicle and my main concern.

So now it's new motor, new start, and I'm using my regular club username - mtc500.  I though it would look a bit odd introducing myself as an FNG with a username that's been in place a couple of years.  There's no hidden agenda lol!

I'm logging in as mtc500, but zookburger is still coming up in the user list, I don't know if that's a cookie thing or what.  I went in to delete that account but I can't - it would be great if a mod / admin could do that for me.

ll

There are no forums where I have double usernames Mick, I have used a different login on certain clicky forums in the past, or on the old digging forums, but to be honest, forums are getting tiresome for me, you can count the ones I use on one hand with fingers to spare, YS is still very user friendly though with no back biting and bitching (well not since the days of Bunny etc). And any time I've seen double usernames, such as Dave Jones on Muller Suzuki, it's just led to mega fall outs and upset, I just happened to notice it on the bottom of the main page and wondered is all, if it would have been a complete stranger I would have had my concerns, as it's no secret I think all the background watchers should be deleted. Enjoy your new Jimny, if you'd have picked it up sooner you could have come to Wales with us tomorrow.

Thanks wilky. I hate cliquey forums too. I've no time for forum politics or handbags, there's just no dignity in it lol. Owner's clubs are usually the worst.

Wales sounds good mate. My first adventure will be on tuesday though, when i've got to get it round the m25 then back up to God's Own.

Have a good time in Cymru!
